Dave is a materials engineer, a chemist, and an expert in battery technology. He holds a PhD from Northwestern University and a BA from Wesleyan University.

Prior to joining Lilac, Nick spent five years advising institutional clients on high-value, complex corporate transactions at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York. He holds a JD from New York University School of Law, where he was a Dean’s Scholar, and a BA from Wesleyan University.

Chris Berry

Chris is a New York-based independent strategist focused on Energy Metals supply chains. He has evaluated metals deposits on five continents and works with investors, banks, corporations, and academia on analysis and evaluation of opportunities and threats along the supply chain.

This has spanned the oil and gas, mining, energy, manufacturing and retail industries.

David Deak

Dr. Deak’s work expertise spans across lithium mining development, renewable energy, energy storage, and electric vehicles. He was most recently the CTO and SVP of Lithium Americas Corp., and is an alum of Tesla, Ambri (MIT start-up), Lux Research, and Siemens Wind Power. He was educated at the University of Toronto and Oxford.

Matthew Nordan

Matthew Nordan is Managing Director of Prime Impact Fund, an early-stage venture capital fund focused on breakthrough climate innovation. He has led venture investments in more than a dozen start-ups and has spent more than two decades focused on cutting-edge technologies as an investor, advisor, and analyst.

Tom Wilson

Tom has 15 years of upstream oil and gas experience. At Hess Corporation, Tom executed on large scale projects across five continents; later, Tom led IGas Energy's technical, strategic and investment operations. Tom has a masters degree from Imperial College London and is currently a Sloan Fellow at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
