Dave is a materials engineer, a chemist, and an expert in battery technology. He holds a PhD from Northwestern University and a BA from Wesleyan University.

Prior to joining Lilac, Nick spent the past five years advising institutional clients on high-value, complex corporate transactions at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York. He holds a JD from New York University School of Law, where he was a Dean’s Scholar, and a BA from Wesleyan University.

Alexander Grant

Vice President of Technology

Alex is a chemical engineer specializing in reactor design and construction. He holds a MS from Northwestern University and a bachelor's in engineering from McGill University.

Chris Berry

Chris is a New York-based independent strategist focused on Energy Metals supply chains. He has evaluated metals deposits on five continents and works with investors, banks, corporations, and academia on analysis and evaluation of opportunities and threats along the supply chain.


Peter Bryant

Peter is a seasoned technology executive who for the last 15 years has advised executive teams at a range of enterprises from emerging businesses to Global Fortune 500 companies on innovation and accelerated value creation. This has spanned the oil and gas, mining, energy, manufacturing and retail industries.


David Deak

Dr. Deak’s work expertise spans across lithium mining development, renewable energy, energy storage, and electric vehicles. He was most recently the CTO and SVP of Lithium Americas Corp., and is an alum of Tesla Inc., Ambri, Inc. (MIT start-up), Lux Research, Inc., and Siemens Wind Power. He was educated at the University of Toronto and Oxford. 


Samir Mayekar

Samir is a tri-sector leader with c-level experience in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. He is a specialist in business development & organizational growth, from negotiating complex deals with multinationalcompanies to leading transformational change on nonprofit boards to increase capacity.
